Michael Höfele is the principal English horn player of the HR Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra. As a reed-making instructor, he shares his expertise with students at the Hochschule in Karlsruhe.
Together with Michael Höfele, we developed the KA English horn reed profile. Reeds crafted with this Shape offer stable pitch, reliable intonation, and clear, precise articulation. This makes the Shape ideal for a wide range of musical demands. Building on the proven Shaper Form HRM, the KA features a slimmer waist, resulting in improved response and greater playing comfort.
Background Information
For the final profile of his reeds, Michael Höfele uses our Template MHO, which we also developed together with him.
