The rubber seal protects your reeds from changing outside conditions. The acrylic glass can be cleaned easily with a cloth. The oboe version holds 20 reeds, the english horn version holds 18 reeds, and the version for oboe and english horn will hold 10 oboe and 9 english horn reeds.
