Tuning rings are an essential part of every oboist's equipment. When the socket or S-bow is pulled out to lower the fundamental pitch, a hollow space forms. Condensation collects in this space, air turbulence occurs, and intonation suffers. Tuning rings compensate for this gap, ensuring a clear response and stable intonation.
Our large tuning ring set contains six rings of different thicknesses with length of 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 mm. It offers maximum flexibility for fine-tuning and is especially cost-effective. A practical solution for all oboists who want to be well-equipped.
