Mark Chudnow is an American oboe maker who primarily specializes in accessories for reed making. He is particularly well known for his innovative developments in the field of staples. His full metal staples are a good example: unlike traditional cork-covered models, they allow more vibration, thereby influencing both playing feel and tone. The internal bore of the Chudnow staple corresponds to that of the Chiarugi 2. It features an internal sealing ring that ensures the staple fits securely and airtight on the bocal.
