Precision right from the start
Precise pre-selection and measurement of the cane diameter is an important requirement for consistently good gouging results.
With our radius dial indicator you can determine the diameter of your tube cane for oboe, oboe d'amore, English horn and baroque oboe precisely and quickly. This way you identify the canes that exactly fit the diameter of your gouging machine.
Suitable for diameters from 7.5 to 17 mm.
The radius dial indicator is available as a hand-held device or mounted on a base plate.
Does the radius dial indicator have to be recalibrated frequently?
In general, calibration is not necessary unless the device has been damaged or the locking screw of the dial gauge was accidentally loosened. Our advice is to keep the contact area where the cane rests clean at all times. Any residue or damage in this area can influence the diameter readings.
