These MISSARKA sharpening stones are perfect for taking care of your reed making tools. Whether you are looking to keep your blade sharp, or need to bring an old blade back to life, the MISSARKA stones have you covered.
The MISSARKA ULTRA stone is a fine grit (F1000/JIS3000) stone that is perfect for keeping the edge of your knives and blades sharp. Run the blade over the stone a few times to keep the edge sharp.
The MISSARKA BLUE is a duo-stone. The blue portion (F500/JIS1200) can be used to give the blade a new angle, or grind worn blades down to a straight edge again. The white portion (F1200/JIS4000) is an ultra-fine grit stone that can then be used to give the blade it's final polish, as well as maintain the edge.
Both stones are shipped in a protective box and include a sharpening guide. They can be used either with honing oil or soaked in water before use. Once the stones are used with oil it is recommended to continue using oil and not switch back to water in order to maintain the quality of the stone.
