Mark Chudnow is an American oboe maker who specializes primarily in accessories related to reed making. He is particularly well known for his innovative developments in the area of staples. His all-metal staples are a good example: unlike traditional cork-lined models, they allow for greater vibration, which influences both playing feel and sound. The inner bore of the Chudnow staple corresponds to that of the Chiarugi 2+. It features an internal sealing ring that ensures the staple fits securely and airtight on the bocal.
