The BUDAPEST contrabassoon reed is crafted from premium French cane that has been aged for over 30 years. Each reed is individually adjusted to its unique vibration properties for maximum resonance and stability, triple-cut, and personally fine-tuned by renowned Hungarian contrabassoonist Zsolt Szabó. Final adjustments are made using instruments by Püchner, Takeda, and Amati. The result is a soloist-quality reed with a focused, expressive sound and a wide dynamic range. Each finished reed undergoes a special subatomic energization process to permanently stabilize and optimize its vibration.
