Perfect Clarity in Reed Making

The MaxDetail magnifying glasses from Eschenbach are the ideal visual aid for anyone who depends on maximum precision in reed making. Especially when crafting and working on oboe or bassoon reeds, the finest details matter. These magnifying glasses enable relaxed, accurate work with optimal visibility and free hands.

With 1.75x magnification, the MaxDetail is specifically designed for close-range use (approx. 30–40 cm). This makes it perfect for typical tasks such as scraping, tying, or fine adjustments at the tip of the reed. Even the smallest structures in the reed can be clearly seen, significantly improving control over material removal and shape.

The magnifying glasses are equipped with adjustable temples and individually adaptable optics, allowing them to be perfectly tailored to the wearer’s position and visual acuity. This often makes it possible to use them without an additional pair of glasses, as they can compensate for refractive errors of up to ±3 diopters. This ensures a high level of comfort, even during extended periods of use.

The high-quality lenses from Eschenbach Optik ensure a distortion-free, bright image. Even the smallest details remain clearly visible without unnecessarily straining the eyes. Ideal for focused work over longer periods.
