Easily split

The cane splitter is a practical device mounted on a solid base. The crystal clear acrylic housing protects your hands and makes it easy to choose the perfect spot. At the same time, the cylinder catches the split cane pieces.

Position the cane – one strike of the included rubber hammer splits the tube. The durable blades ensure clean and splinter free cuts.

Our splitter models

- 3 equal pieces
  
  For splitting cane
  into 3 equal pieces.
- 4 equal pieces
  
  For splitting cane
  into 4 equal pieces.
- 3 equal pieces + 1 for the bin
  
  For splitting cane
  in 3 pieces, plus one piece to throw away.
  
  Cane split evenly in 4 is often not wide enough
  for contra bassoon shapers.
  
  The 3+(1) splitter produces
  3 pieces of 100° and one of 60°.

Precise pre-selection through measurement of the cane diameter is an important prerequisite for consistent gouging results.

With our radius dial indicator you can determine the diameter of your tube cane for bassoon, contra bassoon, baroque bassoon, clarinet and pipe precisely and quickly. This way you can easily identify cane which will fit exactly to the diameter of your gouging machine.
Suitable for diameters from 16 to 37 mm.

The radius dial indicator is available both as a hand-held device
or mounted on a base plate.

diameter gauge allows you to check the diameter of the cane.
Sort your cane by size and ensure consistency.

Diameter measurement from 22-32 mm are provided in increments of 0.5 mm.
